It makes a lot of sense. There are big cost savings available with an online shop compared with the traditional bricks and mortar store front. The best part is many of those businesses will pass those savings on to you. Did you know that around 90% of USA and Canadian florists now have an online presence. There are thousands of florists online all competing for your dollar and they are offering all sorts of incentives to entice buyers. Some online florists now offer flowers free delivery as standard, but why stop there. If you know what to look for you can save a bundle. So what else do they offer you ask? Well free cards are very common, free vases, free chocolates are on offer, but I'm more interested in finding real savings for you, so let's look there to begin. My first trick to maximise savings when purchasing flowers online is to find coupon codes. 10% to 15% off coupons are quite common and easy to find, but sometimes I find coupons for up to 50% off! and they are genuine savings. Not bad if you can get it... sure beats paying full price. My next trick is to buy in advance. If you know beforehand that you are going to buy your lover flowers on Valentines day or your wife flowers on your anniversary why wait till the last minute. Substantial savings can be had by purchasing ahead of time, especially if the occasion is valentines day, mothers day and other busy times when you will always pay top price Ok, Want flowers for half price? This trick only works right after Valentines Day, Mothers Day etc and you've probably already guessed. Yes, florists will discount any left over stock the day after. So if you happen to need flowers for any occasion at this time.. what a perfect way to get them cheaper. Another trick that works with a flower store in your area that you want to pick up flowers from is to see if they have a shop online. If so you will usually get the flowers cheaper than someone walking through the door. Why, simply because they need to compete with other online florists to get sales and because of the low overheads with their online shop they are willing to charge less. It's all extra business they otherwise would not have had. The last thing I check is the delivery price. Some online florists will offer flowers free delivery but most don't and often they wont offer it for their entire range. For the florists that don't offer free delivery, sometimes you can get better value with a special promotion or other discount. Usually the delivery charges aren't that high anyway. In any case even if you do get fee delivery, you need to look at the total cost to decide whether or not you are getting value for money.
